Less is More: Finding Joy through Simplicity

  • Sacramento Dharma Center 3111 Wissemann Drive Sacramento, CA, 95826 United States (map)

Online Option Available

In an economy driven by consumption, the contemplative path makes a radical proposal: happiness and true fulfillment are found not in acquiring more experiences, goods, or status, but in letting go, having less, and releasing the cycle of always needing to become better.

Join teacher and author Oren Jay Sofer for this daylong program exploring the theme of finding joy and fulfillment through simplicity and letting go. Through a combination of meditation, silent reflection, movement and interactive activities, we will deepen our understanding and appreciation of this foundation of the Buddhist path. The day will include short reflections on the Dharma, both silent and guided meditation, and ample time for questions and discussion.

Sliding Scale: $30-$150
Options: You may attend this event in person OR online. Please register by end of day Thursday
