A Mindful Approach to Nonviolent Communication:
8-week LIVE online course with author Oren Jay Sofer (Part II)

4:00 – 5:30pm PT / 7:00 - 8:30pm ET
* NOTE: Skips Wednesday February 22nd for a break half-way through the course.
Based on Oren’s book, Say What You Mean, this 8-week online course is part two of a series offering training in Oren Jay Sofer’s integrated approach to communication. Oren’s approach draws directly from his training in early Buddhist Satipatthana teachings, the work of Dr. Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication, and Dr. Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing.
Part two explores skills for clear, open, and honest self-expression, as well as more advanced skills like navigating conversations and handling challenging situations. It is designed to support you to bring the foundational principles and practices of Say What You Mean into your daily life and relationships. This is not an introductory class (see full course page for more). With expert guidance from the author, you’ll learn ways to:
Express yourself clearly and directly, leaving room for others’ input
Make powerful requests to move towards creative solutions
Find your ground and recover when activated, upset, or triggered
Develop more fluency with the Nonviolent Communication model
Consolidate your learning for ongoing practice and integration
Certificate of Completion, CECs, and Teacher Credits are available (see Continuing Education page for more information).
Registration opens December 1
