Note: Event begins at 10:00am PT / 1:00pm ET
The path of awakening taught by the Buddha includes a wide range of practices to calm the body and mind, to heal the heart, and to respond to need with wisdom and compassion. Silent meditation is only one form of training. In our time together, we will use the foundation of inner practice to build a holistic approach to transformation and engaged action.
In the final part of this series, we will explore an integrated approach to bringing mindfulness and care to our communication. How do we bring qualities of integrity, truth, and kindness into our relationships and conversations, staying true to our values while creating conditions for real dialogue? The tools shared will integrate guidelines for Wise Speech offered by the Buddhist tradition, as well as the contemporary discipline of Nonviolent Communication.
This event is appropriate for meditators at all levels of experience. All are welcome; no prior experience necessary.
This program will be held online via Zoom from 1:00-4:30pm ET / 10a-1:30pm PT. A link with simple instructions will be sent to all registrants before the program. We will take several short breaks, including a 20-30 min break in the middle.
